what this site is for

writing poetry about your personal life under a pseudonym can get confusing. sometimes i struggle to understand where i end and [emr] begins. i hope that this is a place where i can consolidate these two personas.

this is a collection of thoughts, poetry, and essays on philosophy, politics, and the things that keep me up at night. a digital archive of everything that doesn't fit neatly elsewhere.

about me

i'm [emr], a writer, student & climate activist as well as somebody who spends far too much time thinking about history, ideology and the weight of words. some of my biggest interests are in the intersection of philosophy, politics & theology — how they shape the world, and how the world reshapes them.

outside of academia, i'm passionate about sewing, entomology and physical media. i collect CDs and cassettes, and my favourite artist is the 1975 (unfortunately). my favourite tv shows are bones and buffy the vampire slayer.
